A delightful and healthy holiday treat that’s easy to make and sure to bring smiles to everyone’s faces.

  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • Apples
  • Peanut butter or almond butter
  • Mini Christmas cookie cutters

Instructions

  1. Wash the apples thoroughly to remove any dirt or wax.
  2. Cut the apples into 1/4 inch circular slices.
  3. Spread nut butter over one circular apple slice.
  4. Place another circular apple slice on top to form a sandwich.
  5. Use a small Christmas cookie cutter to cut out a fun shape in the center of the apple slices.
  6. Repeat the steps to make as many apple sandwiches as desired.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh, but can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for a day or two. Prevent browning by squeezing lemon juice on the apple slices.
