Ingredients

- 1 tablespoon chia seeds (must be pre-soaked)
- ½ teaspoon ground flaxseed
- ½ teaspoon fresh grated ginger (or ¼ teaspoon powder)
- Juice of ½ fresh lemon
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon raw honey or monk fruit sweetener (optional)
- 1.5 cups warm water (around 120°F, not boiling)
Instructions
- Place chia seeds in ½ cup warm water for 10–15 minutes until gel-like consistency forms.
- Add flaxseed, ginger, lemon juice, cinnamon, and optional sweetener to the soaked chia.
- Pour in remaining warm water, transfer to a mason jar, and shake thoroughly.
- Let sit for 2–3 minutes, then sip slowly for optimal digestion.
Notes
Always pre-soak chia seeds. Use monk fruit for a sugar-free version. Start with smaller portions in early recovery. Consult your bariatric team before adding new ingredients.
