Bat Cupcakes

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup jam or Nutella
  • Chocolate cream for swirling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  3. In a big bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, mix the melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined.
  6. Fill each muffin cup halfway with batter.
  7. Add a spoonful of jam or Nutella into the center of each cup, then cover with the remaining batter.
  8. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Once cool, swirl chocolate cream on top of each cupcake for decoration.
  10. Serve and enjoy your Bat Cupcakes!

Notes

For creative serving, add bat-shaped decorations or spooky sprinkles. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days or freeze for up to three months.
