Cheese and Grape Appetizer

A fun and delicious appetizer combining creamy cheese and sweet, juicy grapes with a crunchy almond coating.

Ingredients

  • 4 ounces sliced almonds (about 1 cup)
  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
  • 2 ounces crumbled blue cheese, room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
  • 2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream, room temperature
  • Appetizer skewers or toothpicks
  • 1 to 1-1/4 pounds seedless red or green grapes, rinsed and patted dry

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 275°F.
  2. Put the sliced almonds in a food processor and pulse until finely chopped.
  3. Spread the chopped almonds evenly in a 15x10x1-inch pan.
  4. Bake the almonds until golden brown, about 6 to 9 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Transfer the almonds to a shallow bowl and let cool slightly.
  6. In another bowl, mix cream cheese, crumbled blue cheese, parsley, and heavy cream until smooth.
  7. Insert a skewer into each grape.
  8. Roll each grape in the cheese mixture until well-coated.
  9. Roll the coated grapes in the toasted almonds.
  10. Place the coated grapes on a waxed paper-lined baking sheet.
  11. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

Best served cold; store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for a few days.
