Chicken Sausage and Broccoli Orzo

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced chicken sausage and cook for about 5–7 minutes until browned.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add broccoli florets and cook for 2–3 minutes until slightly softened.
  5. Pour in orzo, chicken broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper; stir to combine.
  6. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer.
  7. Cover and cook for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally until orzo is tender.
  8. Remove from heat and stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

For a creamier texture, add a splash of heavy cream just before serving.
