Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Delicious strawberries dipped in smooth chocolate, perfect for special occasions or a sweet treat at home.

Ingredients

  • 16 oz. fresh strawberries
  • 8 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 Tbsp coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional for drizzle)
  • 3/4 tsp coconut oil (optional for drizzle)

Instructions

  1. Clean the strawberries thoroughly under cold water or soak in a vinegar solution if conventionally grown.
  2. Dry the strawberries gently with paper towels.
  3. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and 1 tablespoon of coconut oil. Heat in 20-second intervals until smooth.
  4. Alternatively, melt chocolate chips and coconut oil over a simmering water bath.
  5. Dip each strawberry into the melted chocolate, coating nearly to the top, and allow excess to drip off.
  6. Place dipped strawberries on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  7. Refrigerate for about 15 minutes to let chocolate harden.
  8. (Optional) For a drizzle, melt additional chocolate chips with coconut oil, transfer to a resealable bag, and drizzle over hardened strawberries.
  9. Store finished strawberries in an airtight container in the fridge.

Notes

Best enjoyed within 12 hours after making. Do not freeze.
