Cinnamon-Pecan Scones

Warm, flaky scones infused with cinnamon and crunchy pecans, perfect for busy mornings or meal prep.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 15 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in the chopped pecans.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the heavy cream, vanilla extract, and egg. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and gently knead it a few times.
  6. Pat the dough into a circle about 1 inch thick. Cut it into 15 wedges and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a lighter version, swap some ingredients like flour and cream. Serve warm for best results.
