Instructions
- Slice the onions into thin rings; pull apart the rings for snackable pieces.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat until hot.
- Mix flour, cornstarch, salt, pepper, and garlic powder in a bowl.
- Toss the onion rings in the dry mixture to coat.
- Fry the onion rings in hot oil in batches for about 2-3 minutes, flipping until golden brown.
- Remove and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil; sprinkle with additional salt if desired.
Notes
For best results, slice the onions thinly and ensure the oil is hot when frying.
