- 3 cups powdered sugar, plus extra for dusting
- 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 1 to 1.5 teaspoons peppermint extract
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
- Pinch of fine sea salt
- 10 to 12 ounces dark or semisweet chocolate, chopped or chips
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil or neutral oil
- Optional toppings: crushed candy canes, flaky salt, white chocolate drizzle
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix powdered sugar, sweetened condensed milk, softened butter, peppermint extract, vanilla if using, and a pinch of salt until crumbly and then forming a soft dough.
- Dust your surface with powdered sugar, roll the dough to about 1/4 inch thick, cut into small rounds, and chill for 30 minutes.
- Melt the chocolate with coconut oil. Dip each mint disk into the chocolate, tap off excess, and place on parchment.
- Let them set at room temperature or refrigerate for 15 minutes.
Notes
Keep patties in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days, refrigerated for 1-2 weeks, or frozen for up to 3 months. Use quality chocolate for best flavor and texture.
