- 1 ripe fresh fig (plus extra for optional garnish)
- 0.5 tablespoon fig jam (optional)
- 1 oz lemon juice
- 2 oz apple cider
- 0.5 tablespoon grated ginger
- 0.5 oz cinnamon syrup (or a pinch of cinnamon powder)
Instructions
- Slice the fig in quarters and add it to your shaker along with the cinnamon syrup, fig jam, and lemon juice.
- Muddle until the fig is mashed, approximately 15-20 presses.
- Add the grated ginger and apple cider along with some ice.
- Replace the lid and shake well.
- Strain into your glass and garnish with a piece of fig if desired.
Notes
For lower sugar, skip the fig jam. Use a sugar-free cinnamon syrup for a diabetic-friendly version.
