Ingredients
Scale
- 250 g gluten-free bread flour
- 150 g condensed milk
- 75 ml dairy-free milk
- 7 g fast-acting yeast
- 500 ml oil for frying (vegetable oil)
- 2 tbsp icing/confectioners’ sugar
- 3 tbsp caster sugar
- ½ tsp sweet ground cinnamon
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine 150 g of sugar and 150 ml of dairy-free milk. Stir over low heat until sugar dissolves.
- Increase heat slightly and let it simmer gently for 10-15 minutes, stirring often until thickened. Remove from heat and cool.
- For shop bought version, measure 150 g of condensed milk directly.
- Mix the remaining ingredients together for your beignet dough.
- Heat oil in a frying pan or deep fryer and fry dough until golden brown.
- Dust with icing sugar and ground cinnamon before serving.
Notes
Best served fresh; can be stored in an airtight container for up to 1 day or frozen for 3 months.
