Fresh Green Bean Casserole

A simple and fresh green bean casserole featuring crisp green beans, creamy mushroom soup, and crunchy fried onions.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup fried onions
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Blanch the green beans in boiling water for about 3 minutes, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Combine the green beans with the soup mixture and stir well.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and top with half of the fried onions.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
  7. Remove from the oven and sprinkle the remaining fried onions on top, then bake for an additional 10 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Serve warm.
