Fried Ice Cream

Delightful fried ice cream with a crunchy coating and creamy interior, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 6 cups corn flakes cereal
  • 1/2 cup salted butter
  • 2 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Vanilla ice cream (approx. 32 oz)
  • Optional toppings: honey, caramel sauce, chocolate fudge sauce, sweetened whipped cream, cherries

Instructions

  1. Pour cornflakes into a gallon-size resealable bag, seal, and crush with a rolling pin.
  2. Melt butter in a nonstick fry pan, stir in crushed cornflakes and cinnamon, cooking until golden, about 2 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and let the mixture cool in a shallow dish.
  4. Scoop ice cream and shape it into balls.
  5. Roll ice cream balls in the cornflake mixture to coat.
  6. Freeze for 10-15 minutes to re-solidify before serving.

Notes

Fried ice cream is best served fresh. Keep frozen until ready to serve and add toppings just before serving.
