- 6 cups corn flakes cereal
- 1/2 cup salted butter
- 2 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- Vanilla ice cream (approx. 32 oz)
- Optional toppings: honey, caramel sauce, chocolate fudge sauce, sweetened whipped cream, cherries
Instructions
- Pour cornflakes into a gallon-size resealable bag, seal, and crush with a rolling pin.
- Melt butter in a nonstick fry pan, stir in crushed cornflakes and cinnamon, cooking until golden, about 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let the mixture cool in a shallow dish.
- Scoop ice cream and shape it into balls.
- Roll ice cream balls in the cornflake mixture to coat.
- Freeze for 10-15 minutes to re-solidify before serving.
Notes
Fried ice cream is best served fresh. Keep frozen until ready to serve and add toppings just before serving.
