Ingredients

  • 1 package (7 ounces) mixed dried fruit
  • 1 large onion, cut into wedges
  • 1 can (5 1/2 ounces) unsweetened apple juice
  • 1 boneless beef chuck roast (2 pounds)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Start by preparing your ingredients. Cut the onion into wedges.
  2. Place the mixed dried fruit and onion wedges in the slow cooker.
  3. Pour the unsweetened apple juice over the fruit and onion.
  4. Next, take the boneless beef chuck roast and place it on top of the fruit mixture.
  5. Sprinkle the salt, ground allspice, and pepper over the roast.
  6. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low heat for 6 to 8 hours until the meat is tender.
  7. Once cooked, serve the beef with the fruit mixture on the side.
