- 1/2 cup salted butter, softened
- 2/3 cup applesauce
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup white sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1 1/4 cup oat flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp salted butter, melted
- 1 tbsp oat flour
- 2 tbsp white sugar
- 1/2 tbsp cinnamon
- 1/4 cup salted butter, slightly softened
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup almond flour
- 1/2 cup oat flour
- 2 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, applesauce, eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- Add the almond flour, oat flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir until smooth.
- In another bowl, mix the melted butter, oat flour, white sugar, and cinnamon to form cinnamon-sugar filling.
- In a separate bowl, combine room temperature butter, brown sugar, almond flour, oat flour, and cinnamon to create topping crumbs.
- Grease or line an 8×8 baking dish. Pour half the batter in, spreading evenly.
- Sprinkle half the cinnamon-sugar filling on the batter and swirl it using a knife.
- Pour the remaining batter on top and repeat the filling process.
- Bake for 25 minutes, then sprinkle topping over the cake and bake for an additional 18 minutes.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
Notes
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for a delightful treat.
