- 2 cups Golden Wheat Flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- Salted butter for serving
- Strawberry jam for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together the Golden Wheat Flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk and egg.
- Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently.
- Pat into a circle about 1 inch thick and cut into 8 wedges.
- Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 22 to 25 minutes or until golden.
- Serve warm with salted butter and strawberry jam.
Notes
