Green Bean Casserole

A warm and creamy green bean casserole topped with crispy fried onions, perfect for family meals and holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup French fried onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the green beans in boiling water for about 5 minutes, then drain.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and pepper.
  4. Stir in the cooked green beans and half of the French fried onions.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and bake for 25 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven and top with the remaining French fried onions.
  7. Bake for an additional 10 minutes until the onions are golden brown.

Notes

For a richer flavor, add cheese or sautéed mushrooms. You can also use frozen green beans.
