Simple Green Bean Casserole

A classic green bean casserole that combines creamy mushroom soup, green beans, cheese, and crispy fried onions for a comforting side dish.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans of green beans, drained
  • 1 can of cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 cup of shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1 cup of crispy fried onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, and shredded cheese.
  3. Add the drained green beans and mix until well combined.
  4. Pour the mixture into a baking dish and spread evenly.
  5. Bake for 25 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven and sprinkle crispy fried onions on top.
  7. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the onions are golden and crispy.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For best results, add the crispy fried onions in the final baking stage to keep them crunchy.
