Ingredients

- 9 cups rice krispies cereal
- 9 cups mini marshmallows
- 6 tablespoons butter
- Green food coloring
- Assorted sprinkles or melted chocolate or royal icing
Instructions
- Prepare 2 8-inch round cake pans by spraying them with non-stick cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, pour in the rice krispies cereal.
- In another large bowl, add the mini marshmallows and the butter.
- Place the bowl in the microwave and heat the marshmallows and butter for about 3-4 minutes.
- Once puffy, carefully take it out and stir until smooth.
- Add green food coloring and mix until evenly distributed.
- Quickly pour the green marshmallow mixture over the rice krispies and stir until coated.
- Divide the mixture between the two prepared cake pans and press down gently.
- Allow the treats to cool for about 30 minutes.
- Flip the pans onto a cutting board and tap gently to release.
- Use a large serrated knife to cut each large circle into 6 slices.
- Wrap or decorate the rice krispie trees as desired.
Notes
Consider pairing with hot chocolate or fruit punch when serving. Customize with various toppings.
