Ground Beef Grilled Cheese Sandwich

A delicious twist on a classic comfort food, combining melted cheese, savory ground beef, and toasted bread.

  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 slices of sturdy bread (e.g., sourdough or crusty)
  • 1 cup cooked ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (e.g., cheddar, mozzarella)
  • Butter for grilling
  • Seasonings (salt, pepper, onions, garlic)

Instructions

  1. Butter one side of each slice of bread.
  2. Place a slice of bread, butter-side down, in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add a layer of cooked ground beef on top of the bread.
  4. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the ground beef.
  5. Top with the second slice of bread, butter-side up.
  6. Cook until golden brown and crispy, then flip carefully to cook the other side.
  7. Once both sides are golden and the cheese is melted, remove from heat and slice in half to serve.

Notes

Experiment with different types of cheese and add-ins like caramelized onions, mushrooms, or jalapeños for added flavor.
