- 2 slices of sturdy bread (e.g., sourdough or crusty)
- 1 cup cooked ground beef
- 1 cup shredded cheese (e.g., cheddar, mozzarella)
- Butter for grilling
- Seasonings (salt, pepper, onions, garlic)
Instructions
- Butter one side of each slice of bread.
- Place a slice of bread, butter-side down, in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add a layer of cooked ground beef on top of the bread.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese over the ground beef.
- Top with the second slice of bread, butter-side up.
- Cook until golden brown and crispy, then flip carefully to cook the other side.
- Once both sides are golden and the cheese is melted, remove from heat and slice in half to serve.
Notes
Experiment with different types of cheese and add-ins like caramelized onions, mushrooms, or jalapeños for added flavor.
