Ingredients

- 3 large eggs
- 6 Tbsp reduced-fat butter, room temperature
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup baking cocoa
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
- 8 oz reduced-fat cream cheese
- 1 1/2 tsp orange food coloring
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
- Coat a 9×9-inch square baking dish with cooking spray.
- Separate two eggs, adding each egg white to a separate bowl and discarding the yolks.
- In a medium bowl, beat the butter and 3/4 cup of sugar together until crumbly.
- Add one whole egg, the two egg whites, and vanilla extract, and beat until fully combined.
- In a small bowl, stir together the flour and baking cocoa.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, beating until smooth.
- Fold in the dark chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
- In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese, remaining 1/4 cup sugar, and orange food coloring until combined.
- Drop the cream cheese mixture on top of the brownie batter in tablespoonfuls.
- Cut through the batter with a knife to create a swirled pattern.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the edges are set.
- Cool completely on a wire rack before serving.
Notes
These brownies can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or in the refrigerator for about a week. They can also be frozen for up to 3 months.
