Healthy Twix Bars

Delicious and nutritious Healthy Twix Bars made with almond flour and peanut butter, sweetened with maple syrup.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups Almond Flour
  • 3 tbsp Butter (melted)
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Maple Syrup
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Creamy Peanut Butter
  • 1/3 cup Maple Syrup
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 cup Almond Flour
  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Coconut Oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine almond flour, melted butter, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt; mix until a dough forms.
  4. Press the dough firmly into the lined baking pan.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown; let it cool.
  6. In a medium bowl, mix creamy peanut butter, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and almond flour until smooth.
  7. Spread the caramel mixture evenly over the cooled shortbread.
  8. Chill the pan in the freezer for at least 1 hour.
  9. Melt chocolate chips and coconut oil in a shallow bowl.
  10. Slice the chilled bars and dip each one in the melted chocolate.
  11. Place the coated bars on a parchment-lined tray and drizzle with remaining chocolate if desired.
  12. Chill for another 10 minutes until chocolate hardens.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week or freeze for up to three months.
