- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 medium zucchinis, sliced
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1/2 cup onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef along with diced onions and minced garlic. Drain excess fat.
- Add sliced zucchinis to the skillet, stir in Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, and cook for 5 minutes until zucchinis are slightly tender.
- If using, add marinara sauce and mix well.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
This dish can be stored in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
