- 125g butter, melted
- 1/3 cup caster sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- 2 1/2 cups plain flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup icing sugar for decorating
- Marshmallows
- Mini M&Ms
- Icing pens for decorating
Instructions
- In a large bowl, add the melted butter, caster sugar, eggs, and vanilla essence. Use a whisk to mix until combined.
- Add the plain flour and baking powder to the bowl. Stir until a soft dough begins to form.
- Turn the dough out onto a clean surface and knead until smooth. Wrap in plastic wrap and freeze for 30 minutes if needed.
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line two baking trays with baking paper.
- Roll out the dough to about 1/2 cm thickness on a floured surface.
- Use a glass to cut out circles of dough, each approximately 9 cm in diameter, and place them on the lined baking trays.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 6 to 8 minutes until edges are golden brown.
- Allow the biscuits to cool completely on a wire rack.
- Use icing pens to decorate the marshmallows, then mix icing sugar with water to create a smooth icing and spread over the biscuits.
- Place marshmallow faces on top of the icing and decorate with Mini M&Ms and icing pens for arms and scarves.
Notes
These biscuits can be stored in an airtight container for up to five days or frozen for later use. They make great holiday gifts or party favors.
