Oreo Spider Cupcakes

Fun and spooky Oreo Spider Cupcakes perfect for Halloween parties and gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 box of chocolate cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 container of chocolate frosting
  • Oreo cookies (for spiders)
  • Black licorice or chocolate strings (for legs)
  • Candy eyes (for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with cupcake liners.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the chocolate cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into the cupcake liners, filling them about 2/3 full.
  4. Bake for 18-22 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let them cool completely.
  5. Once cooled, spread chocolate frosting on top of each cupcake.
  6. To make the spiders, use one Oreo cookie for the body and break another Oreo in half for the legs (using 4 pieces for each spider).
  7. Attach the legs to the cupcake by inserting them into the frosting.
  8. Place the whole Oreo on top for the spider’s body, and use candy eyes to complete the look.

Notes

Store leftover cupcakes in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature. For freezing, store unfrosted cupcakes for up to 3 months.
