- 1 pizza dough ball or flatbread (12-inch base)
- 1/4 cup crème fraîche or ranch dressing
- 1 to 1.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 10–12 slices dill pickles, patted dry
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh dill or parsley (optional garnish)
- 1 tbsp garlic butter or olive oil (for brushing crust or drizzling after bake)
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
- Grated parmesan (optional)
- Bacon bits or ham (optional protein boost)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C). Roll out dough into a 12-inch round or rectangle. Place on parchment-lined baking sheet or pizza stone.
- Spread 1/4 cup white sauce (crème fraîche or ranch) evenly over dough, leaving ½-inch border.
- Sprinkle 1 to 1.5 cups mozzarella over the sauce. Arrange 10–12 pickle slices evenly across the top.
- Add red pepper flakes, bacon bits, or grated parmesan if using. Bake for 10–15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and crust is golden.
- Remove from oven. Let cool for 2–3 minutes. Drizzle garlic butter or olive oil over top and sprinkle with fresh herbs. Slice and serve hot.
Notes
Use thinly sliced pickles and pat them dry to prevent a soggy crust. Try variations with spicy pickles, naan base, or sourdough for a flavor upgrade. Great for parties or weeknight dinners.
