- 1 pound bulk Italian sausage
- 2 large sweet red peppers, finely chopped
- 3 jalapeno peppers, finely chopped
- 1 cup whole milk
- 2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
- Tortilla chips
Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook the Italian sausage over medium heat for 6-8 minutes or until no longer pink. Drain excess fat.
- In a 3-quart slow cooker, combine cooked sausage, chopped red peppers, and chopped jalapenos.
- Pour in 1 cup of whole milk.
- Cover and slow cook on low heat for about 5-6 hours.
- Add softened cream cheese and shredded mozzarella cheese to the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for an additional 30 minutes, until cheese is melted.
- Serve warm with tortilla chips for dipping.
Notes
Great for gatherings, can be kept warm in a slow cooker.
