Ingredients

  • 1 pound Italian turkey sausage links, casings removed
  • 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • 1 cup shredded Italian cheese blend

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the Italian turkey sausage over medium heat until browned and no longer pink. Drain excess fat.
  2. Stir in the tomato sauce, garlic powder, and dried basil, then bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat and let simmer uncovered for 8-10 minutes until thickened.
  4. Press each wonton wrapper into a miniature muffin tin coated with cooking spray to form cups.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F and bake wonton cups for 8-9 minutes until lightly browned.
  6. Spoon the sausage mixture into each wonton cup.
  7. Sprinkle shredded Italian cheese blend on top of the sausage mixture.
  8. Bake for an additional 5-7 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes
