- 1 pound Italian turkey sausage links, casings removed
- 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 24 wonton wrappers
- 1 cup shredded Italian cheese blend
Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook the Italian turkey sausage over medium heat until browned and no longer pink. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in the tomato sauce, garlic powder, and dried basil, then bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and let simmer uncovered for 8-10 minutes until thickened.
- Press each wonton wrapper into a miniature muffin tin coated with cooking spray to form cups.
- Preheat oven to 350°F and bake wonton cups for 8-9 minutes until lightly browned.
- Spoon the sausage mixture into each wonton cup.
- Sprinkle shredded Italian cheese blend on top of the sausage mixture.
- Bake for an additional 5-7 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
For a unique twist, try different meats or cheese blends. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
