- 1 lb ground beef or pork
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tsp gochugaru (Korean chili flakes)
- 1 tsp lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix ground meat, breadcrumbs, egg, soy sauce, gochujang, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, salt, pepper, sesame oil, and green onions.
- Roll mixture into small meatballs and place on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown and fully cooked.
- Meanwhile, make the spicy mayo dip by combining mayonnaise, gochugaru, and lemon juice in a small bowl.
- Serve meatballs warm with spicy mayo dip and garnish with extra green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
For extra crispiness, pan-fry the meatballs after baking for a few minutes in a hot skillet with a little sesame oil.
