Ingredients

  • 1 pound bulk pork sausage
  • 8 ounces sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 11/2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles according to package directions and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, add the bulk pork sausage and cook over medium heat until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add the sliced mushrooms, chopped onion, and minced garlic, cooking until tender.
  4. Sprinkle flour, salt, and paprika over the mixture, stirring until smooth.
  5. Gradually pour in the beef broth, bringing to a boil while stirring to avoid lumps.
  6. Cook for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  7. Turn off heat and stir in sour cream until well mixed.
  8. Plate the cooked noodles and spoon the sausage stroganoff on top, then sprinkle with fresh parsley.
