Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract
  • 3/41 cup sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, blend softened butter, granulated sugar, and cream cheese until smooth.
  4. Add the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract to the butter mixture; mix until combined.
  5. Slowly add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and combine. Chill for about 30 minutes if dough is sticky.
  6. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and coat in sprinkles.
  7. Place the balls on lined baking sheets and slightly flatten them.
  8. Bake for about 9 minutes until slightly under-baked; cool on a wire rack.
  9. Store in an airtight container to keep fresh.
