- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
- 2 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp almond extract
- 3/4 – 1 cup sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, blend softened butter, granulated sugar, and cream cheese until smooth.
- Add the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract to the butter mixture; mix until combined.
- Slowly add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and combine. Chill for about 30 minutes if dough is sticky.
- Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and coat in sprinkles.
- Place the balls on lined baking sheets and slightly flatten them.
- Bake for about 9 minutes until slightly under-baked; cool on a wire rack.
- Store in an airtight container to keep fresh.
