- Pinch of salt
- 1 to 2 tablespoons maple syrup or honey, optional
- 2 tablespoons neutral oil or melted butter for the batter, plus a little for the iron
- Optional: 1 to 2 tablespoons protein powder
Instructions
- Preheat your waffle iron.
- Blend cottage cheese, eggs, banana, vanilla, and sweetener until smooth.
- Add oats or flour, baking powder, and salt; pulse until combined.
- Fold in diced strawberries.
- Let the batter rest for 3 to 5 minutes.
- Grease the waffle iron, pour in batter, and cook until deep golden.
- Move waffles to a wire rack to keep crisp.
Notes
Waffles freeze well; store in the freezer for quick breakfasts. Reheat in a toaster or air fryer for best results.
