Strawberry Penguins

Cute and delightful treats made from fresh strawberries and chocolate, perfect for kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 15 fresh strawberries
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil
  • 30 candy eyeballs
  • 1 dried apricot, cut into small triangle wedges
  • Wooden skewers

Instructions

  1. Rinse the strawberries under cool running water and dry them thoroughly.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt dark chocolate chips and coconut oil until smooth.
  3. Poke a wooden skewer into the stem-side of a strawberry.
  4. Dip the strawberry diagonally into the melted chocolate, leaving the bottom part for the penguin’s belly.
  5. While the chocolate is wet, press two candy eyeballs above the exposed part of the strawberry.
  6. Place a dried apricot triangle below the candy eyeballs to create the beak.
  7. Repeat with remaining strawberries and allow chocolate to set in a foam floral block for 20-30 minutes.
  8. Serve and enjoy your Strawberry Penguins!

Notes

Store leftover Strawberry Penguins in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Freezing is not recommended.
