- 15 fresh strawberries
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil
- 30 candy eyeballs
- 1 dried apricot, cut into small triangle wedges
- Wooden skewers
Instructions
- Rinse the strawberries under cool running water and dry them thoroughly.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt dark chocolate chips and coconut oil until smooth.
- Poke a wooden skewer into the stem-side of a strawberry.
- Dip the strawberry diagonally into the melted chocolate, leaving the bottom part for the penguin’s belly.
- While the chocolate is wet, press two candy eyeballs above the exposed part of the strawberry.
- Place a dried apricot triangle below the candy eyeballs to create the beak.
- Repeat with remaining strawberries and allow chocolate to set in a foam floral block for 20-30 minutes.
- Serve and enjoy your Strawberry Penguins!
Notes
Store leftover Strawberry Penguins in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Freezing is not recommended.
