Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and quartered (or 3/4 cup frozen strawberries)
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 3 tablespoons simple syrup (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 2 cups ice cubes
- 2 tablespoons freeze-dried strawberries, lightly crushed
- 1 teaspoon lime zest (optional)
- Pinch of salt
- Fresh strawberry slices and lime wheels for garnish
Instructions
- Add strawberries, lime juice, simple syrup, cold water, lime zest (if using), and salt to a blender.
- Blend on medium speed until smooth.
- With the blender running, gradually add ice cubes and blend until slushy consistency is reached.
- Add freeze-dried strawberries and pulse 2–3 times to distribute without fully blending them.
- Taste and adjust sweetness with more syrup if needed.
- Pour into chilled glasses and garnish with strawberry slices and lime wheels.
- Serve immediately with wide straws or spoons.
Notes
Use frozen strawberries for deeper color. Add beet juice for vibrancy or a splash of coconut water for a tropical twist. Taste before adding ice to ensure the base is slightly sweeter than desired—ice will mellow it.
