Tasty Toaster Tarts

Delicious, flaky homemade toaster tarts that are easy to fill with your favorite jam or fruit.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Jam or filling of your choice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix flour, brown sugar, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Add water gradually until a dough forms.
  5. Roll out the dough and cut into rectangles.
  6. Place a spoonful of filling in the center of half the rectangles.
  7. Cover with another rectangle and seal the edges.
  8. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until golden and flaky.
  9. Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

For a healthier option, use whole wheat flour and less sugar. These tarts freeze well for meal prep.
