Ingredients
Scale
- 4 slices of salami, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 slices sourdough bread (or half a baguette, sliced lengthwise)
- 2 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 1/2 cups cooked or canned white beans (such as cannellini)
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Dried oregano, to taste
- 3 tablespoons grated or shredded Parmesan (plus extra for garnish)
Instructions
- Finely chop the salami and mince the garlic. Toast the bread until golden and crispy.
- Heat 2 teaspoons of olive oil in a small nonstick pan over medium-high heat. Add the salami, garlic, and white beans. Season with black pepper and a few generous shakes of oregano. Stir and cook for 3 minutes, until everything is heated through.
- Remove the pan from heat and stir in 3 tablespoons of Parmesan. Pile the bean mixture onto the toasted bread. Garnish with extra Parmesan and a final drizzle of olive oil. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
For a creamier topping, mash some of the beans before serving. You can also customize with additional toppings like greens or spices.
