Toasted Ghost S’mores Cupcakes

A fun and spookily designed twist on classic s’mores, these cupcakes combine chocolate flavors with graham crackers and ghost-shaped marshmallows, making them perfect for Halloween gatherings.

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup chocolate frosting
  • Ghost-shaped marshmallows for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a cupcake pan with cupcake liners.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, graham cracker crumbs, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk, and mix until just combined.
  5. Fill cupcake liners about 2/3 full with batter.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let cool completely.
  7. Once cool, frost each cupcake with chocolate frosting and top with toasted ghost-shaped marshmallows.
  8. For the marshmallows, use a kitchen torch or broiler to lightly toast until golden. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Serve with cold milk or hot cocoa for a cozy treat. These cupcakes can be made in advance and frozen for longer storage.
