- 8 oz ginger beer
- 0.5 oz lime juice
- 8 to 10 mint leaves
- A splash of apple cider vinegar or 1 oz non-alcoholic vodka (optional)
- Optional garnishes: lime wheels, mint
- 2 oz apple cider (for fall variation)
- 1 to 2 slices jalapeno (for spicy variation)
- 2 oz pomegranate juice or cranberry (for Thanksgiving variation)
- 2 oz peach puree (for summer variation)
- 2 strawberries or 8 blueberries (for spring variation)
- Sweetener (optional)
Instructions
- Clap the mint leaves together in your hands a few times to release the oils, then place them in your mug or glass.
- Add lime juice and press very gently several times with a muddler to bruise the mint without making it bitter.
- Fill your glass with ice and top it off with ginger beer.
- If you’re using it, add the apple cider vinegar or non-alcoholic vodka.
- Add your optional garnishes and serve.
- For a fall drink, stir in 2 oz apple cider and add pomegranate arils.
- For a spicy version, muddle jalapeno with the mint.
- For Thanksgiving or Christmas, use pomegranate juice or cranberry.
- For summer, add peach puree.
- For spring, muddle strawberries or blueberries.
