Watermelon Christmas Trees

Transform watermelon into festive trees that are healthy and fun for the holiday season.

Ingredients

  • 2 circular watermelon slices
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup plain 2% Greek yogurt

Instructions

  1. Cut the watermelon in half widthwise using a sharp knife.
  2. Place one half on its side and cut 1-inch thick circular slices.
  3. Shape the slices into Christmas trees by cutting each into six or eight equal pieces, removing the rind.
  4. Pat the shaped pieces dry with a paper towel.
  5. Fill a piping bag with Greek yogurt and pipe decorations onto the trees.
  6. Serve immediately or chill in the refrigerator before serving.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh, but can be stored in an airtight container for up to two days.
