- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1 large egg, room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup macadamia nuts, chopped
- 1 cup white baking chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the softened butter and sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy (5-7 minutes).
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour and baking soda.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the creamed mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Stir in the chopped macadamia nuts and white baking chips.
- Line baking sheets with parchment paper and drop tablespoons of dough, leaving about 2 inches of space.
- Bake for about 10 to 13 minutes or until golden brown around the edges.
- Cool on the pans for 1 minute, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
Serve fresh with a glass of milk or as a dessert table addition. Drizzle with melted white chocolate for a special touch.
