Witches’ Brooms

A spooky and fun Halloween treat made with puff pastry, Nutella, and pretzel sticks. These Witches’ Brooms are easy to make, kid-friendly, and perfect for parties!

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 12 brooms 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 17.3 ounces puff pastry (defrosted)
  • ¼ cup Nutella (more or less as needed)
  • 12 pretzel sticks
  • 2 tablespoons milk for brushing
  • 2 tablespoons sugar in the raw

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line two cookie sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry and lightly flatten with a rolling pin.
  3. Cut dough into 12 rectangles (approx. 2 ¾ x 3 inches).
  4. Spread 1 tsp of Nutella onto 6 pieces of dough.
  5. Top each Nutella piece with a plain dough piece and press gently to seal.
  6. Turn each piece vertically and cut thin slits in the bottom half, leaving a ¼ to ⅓-inch border at the top.
  7. Wrap each piece around a pretzel stick, making sure the dough sticks well.
  8. Place on baking sheets and gently spread the slits to mimic broom bristles.
  9. Brush with milk and sprinkle sugar in the raw on top.
  10. Bake for 15–20 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. Let cool completely before serving.
